Bass Love

Our freshest edition of Bass Love yet sees our favourite bass adventurers return to inSpiral as the summer season kicks into high gear. They’ll be presenting a mix of quirky, psychedelic, bass-driven sounds for your booty-shaking enjoyment, and getting energised for the Noisily festival the following weekend where they‘ll be bringing some bass out to the Boombox stage.

More information about the bass cadets:

Jon Sangita a.k.a. Experimental Sound Project is a psychedelic ambient dub producer and as a DJ he’s a funkadelic force to be reckoned with.
He is a passionate lover and collector of psychedelic music and is a specialist in Ambient Dub and Funky ‘n’ Crunky Glitch Hop and Breaks.
His style is seriously fun and upbeat and his sets are always an inspired glimpse into the worlds of chunky breaks and glitchy beats with a special psychedelic twist.
He has 2 decades of involvement in the alternative and psychedelic scene in London and was a promoter of the legendary Subliminal Psychedelia parties in the early 90s. Since then has been producing tracks for labels such as Sangita Sounds, Dubmission and Ajnavision as well as playing out at various global psychedelic festivals including Boom, Sonica, Ozora, Universo Paralello, Sunrise and Glade.

DJ Nod is based out of Brixton, observing and participating in the global bass music scene both at home in London and through his world-wide travels. Since his move from the USA in 2009 he has played events across the globe, ranging in size from massive festivals such as OZORA and Hadra to smaller events in the US, Europe, and Japan.
During this time he has become known for his smooth mixing and heavily psychedelic track selection, skirting around the edges of dubstep and other bass-driven music to procure a wide range of sub-shaking sounds.

Noisily Festival – Leicestershire, UK

July 11, 2014toJuly 13, 2014

Set deep in the rolling hills of Leicestershire in the heart of rural England, Noisily Festival of Electronic Music and Arts lies in one of the most beautiful wooded valleys in the country. Totally contained amongst the trees creating a safe haven where hedonism and escapism can flourish and thrive, Noisily Festival 2014 will play host to some of the most exciting musical talent from the UK and abroad, along with a plethora of performance, innovative installations and mind bending visual arts. You can expect to hear an extremely diverse collection of music; ranging from Electro, Glitch and Breaks, through House and Disco, via the Noisily mainstay of Progressive Techno, to the considerably beefed up Psychedelic line up with the traditional Psychedelic Sunday now including Friday and Saturday as well.

2014 sees the expansion of the site and arrival of the infamous Liquid Stage; after a decade at the sorely missed Glade Festival, Liquid Records has found a new spiritual home amongst the kindred spirits and like-minded ravers in sunny Leicestershire.

Across 3 main areas and a smattering of nano stages; below vast ceilings of woodland décor pulsing to the sound of kicking basslines, shredded in two by laser beams and shards of light; amongst the sound of laughter and a sea of smiles, boredom will be a word soon forgotten.
