I played a set inside the amazing chillout dome at the Ozora festival in Hungary earlier this month – I was originally supposed to play for 3 hours but ended up playing for around 3.5 since the guy after me was running a bit late. I was extremely happy to be seeing the sun up with a field full of hippies in attendance :)

during my trip to the midwest i was able to drop in on a session of the legendary part-time suckers radio show on WNUR in chicago and play a little music. it was great being back in a radio station, since i started my dj career with a death metal show (no joke) at my university’s college station, which has since moved to FM and changed names to WIUX. i went for some deeper cuts to try and remind random listeners that there’s more to dubstep than the brostep sound, and finished with an old favorite by the midwestern legend dj shiva.

i went back to the mountains of western north carolina for another wonderful weekend with the touch samadhi crew and many friends from far and wide in the US underground dance scene. i played a sunrise set and tried to expose folks to some different sides of the dubstep sound than what is generally encountered at events in the area – it seemed to go over quite well :)

During a visit to the mountains of North Carolina, I dropped in at the Wondrous Temple of Boom’s Phat Tuesdays weekly event to catch up with the Asheville bassheads. i was able to take part in a wonderful little arts and music festival at a farm out in the british countryside, complete with wellingtons, IEC60309-16A extension cables and large quantities of tea. it was an excellent gathering over a long weekend and this is what i played as a transition from the daytime activities to the nighttime dance party in another area. it seemed to go over quite well with the hippies :)

During a trip to Tokyo I was able to arrange a show at an amazing underground (literally) venue in the city as a part of the Mushroom Garden Dance for Japan benefit. The spot was great and packed with super-nice people that definitely knew how to get down :)
